Today's educators need to hone their teaching skills in order to meet the needs of their students. Computers are a very
important aspect of our lives and students need to know how to use them; therefore teachers also need to be ready and utilize
computers in the classroom.
John Dewey once said, "Since there is no single set of abilities running throughout human nature, there is no single curriculum
which all should undergo. Rather, the schools should teach everything that anyone is interested in learning." The computer
is the perfect medium that can do just this. What other tool in the classroom can we implement that can take us anywhere we
want to go and yet not leave the room? The world can be at our fingertips.

Students have a wealth of information open to
them via the computer. It is a very useful tool in the classroom. Technology today allows us to do many things. We
can create interesting and wonderful lesson plans that stimulate our students' thinking. Often, when our students are
researching obscure topics, school libraries do not have the needed books and magazines. The internet helps solve this problem.
